“If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.”
Margaret Thatcher
This year, Women's Leadership Conference will examine leadership from a gendered perspective and in a cross-cultural context. This Conference will pose and attempt to answer questions regarding the role and status of women in contemporary societies such as:
What are women’s condition and prospects for leadership in different parts of the world? Is there gender equality in corporate and public sectors, academia, and sports? How can we combat trafficking in women? What can be done to promote women’s health? What are the secrets of successful women? Where are we on the Millennium Development path as regards the goal of promoting gender equality and empowering women? What can we do to move ahead?
By taking part in the Women's Leadership Conference 2010, you will have a chance to learn about and critically examine these and many more important questions related to leadership and empowerment of women.
