Welcome to Peace and Conflict Resolution Conference 2007
This three day
program will encourage participants to share their personal beliefs,
ideas and experiences with the group of enthusiasts from all over
the world, taking part in this extraordinary international event
that will consist of following components:
Study sessions
on the chosen topics related to the peace and conflict resolution
issues, presentations of the accepted papers and open discussions.
It is open to all of those interested and involved in building and
maintaining peace in the regions of the world affected with wars,
cultural, racial or other form of discrimination and oppression.
The aim of the
conference is to raise awareness on the peace necessity and conflict
resolution tools and techniques for its sustainability, on the
macro/micro level.
This is a
comprehensive and interactive program
that brings people closer together, all with one mutual goal – to
make world a safer place and make positive impact on their local
communities, providing people with necessary knowledge and strength
to change circumstances and evolve above prejudice and fear.
The conflict
management and resolution study session will provide participants
with practical and empirical knowledge on some of the burning
questions: how to avoid
lower interests, stereotypes, or political agendas in the conflict
resolution? Understanding and embracing the differences in
conflicted sides? Conflict assessment – involving the third party in
conflict resolution – pros and cons? And many more published in the

The program will benefit to different groups of people: graduate
students, NGO’s that handle and support peace building and
maintaining and conflict resolution issues, Global/Local government
agencies, Academic researchers in the field of peace and conflict
resolution, members of the government directly involved in peace
projects, community members that will use the knowledge and
resources and bring it back to their communities.
This project is designed to have lasting effects on the lives of
those who participate in the Conference, as well as members of their
community. The young persons who participate will gain new
knowledge, skills, and resources, which will enable them to improve
their home communities and become deeply involved in the global need
for peace and understanding. The participants from all over the
world will become more aware of the similar problems that exist in
other geo-economical parts of the world and share the gained
know-how in conflict prevention and resolution. Let’s make our
contribution to such a noble cause!
