Location

Peace and Conflict Resolution Conference 2007 will take place in a city of  Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For more useful info on the country please visit our section Bosnia.

Place of the venue

The conference will be held in the conference room of the Hotel “Hollywood” in Sarajevo in a beautiful neighborhood of Ilidza, a close retreat for city dwellers to enjoy the thermal springs, recreation centre and the lovely park at the source of River Bosnia called Vrelo Bosnia.

Price

*a proof of full time student status must be sent to  contact@tomorrowpeople.org. We accept either a valid student card or a letter from the university.

A non refundable 100 USD deposit is required to secure your spot in the Conference and is due two weeks after you have been officially invited to join the Conference. This amount will be credited toward the Conference fee. 

Registration fee covers: admission to all the sessions, presentations of submitted papers, discussions, all lunches and coffee breaks during the Conference, a networking dinner, closing cocktail, conference materials and certificate issued by Tomorrow People Organization.
This price does not include airfare and accommodation. Accommodation will be provided on request and is to be paid separately.

Accommodation

We can assist international participants in arranging their accommodation, during their stay in Sarajevo. We have obtained special prices for our participants if they chose to book the hotel via our organization. The price in a double room is 35 USD and the price in a single room is 55 USD plus the habitation tax of 2.08 USD. Those prices are per day, per person.

You may also choose among many conveniently located and reasonable priced hotels or hostels in the city center that are of an easy access from the Conference venue.

Meals

All the lunches and coffee breaks during the Conference are organized and included in the Conference fee as well as networking dinner that will take place on December 8^th 2007.

Financial Support

Due to our non for profit nature and very limited funds, we are not able to provide financial support that would cover Conference fee, accommodation or travel expenses to any of our participants. However, we encourage participants to search for funding from outside organizations and we can provide a letter of support for them.

Applications

Applications are being accepted on a rolling admission basis and are considered in order as they are received. The number of people who will be invited to participate in this highly interesting and challenging program is limited to 50. Therefore, we encourage everyone to apply early. Successful applicants will be notified, at latest, within 15 days after the application process is closed.

Abstracts/ Papers Submissions

If interested in presenting a paper/ research at the Conference, you can submit your abstract along with the application form by October 20^th 2007. Full papers are due November 1^st 2007 in electronic version and  following format:

·         A4 size paper

·         Single line space, preferably Times New Roman 12 font.

·         Abstract of maximum 200 words on first page (under title)

·         Total paper length to be maximum of 12,000 words (approximately 24 full pages)

·         Short bio-data of writer/s at end of paper.

Acceptance

All submissions (papers, detailed executive summaries, cases, and panel proposals) will be reviewed, and acceptance/rejection is based upon quality of application and relevance to the conference.  

Agenda

Conference Agenda will be available in October 2007 after the list of participants and presentations is finalized.
